A population needs a great reproductive potential producing offspring with variation (genetic differences) which are selected as the ideal type by the environment (environmental pressure). Those individuals which survive (due to a selective advantage) will mate, produce offspring and the favourable characteristics which confer an advantage will be passed on through the generations. This may lead to change in the population if the environment changes (new ideal type) or stability in the population if the environment remains constant (same ideal type)-old hippies or no old hippies?-Do your own homework. By the way this is a 5th grade question.......
Describe the conditions required for natural selection, including: overproduction of offspring, inherited variation, and the struggle to survive, which result in differential reproductive success.

lol @ YoBenHur aka. mr moron

this isn't 5th grade question, you can't even answer it. You must be 3rd grade obviously.

The three conditions required for natural selection:

A population needs a great reproductive potential producing offspring with variation (genetic differences) which are "selected" as the ideal type by the environment (environmental pressure). Those individuals which survive (due to a selective advantage) will mate, produce offspring and the favourable characteristics which confer an advantage will be passed on through the generations. This may lead to change in the population if the environment changes (new ideal type) or stability in the population if the environment remains constant (same ideal type)
