1. A forest fire destroys a great deal of habitat
2. Many aquatic organisms die as a result of changes in adverse weather conditions during the breeding season.

1. Density independent. This is independent because no matter how many organisms of a certain type you had, it will not affect the outcome of a forest fire. A forest fire happens without any care about how many organisms there are in the forest. The fire (independent of population) caused habitat loss.

2. Density independent. No matter what your population of organisms is, you cannot change the weather. The weather (independent of population) caused death.
