And no despite what google images says, you cant get a cow chicken, or a chipmunk spider. It doesnt work like that.......
Gene splicing is the process used to get recombinant DNA. The genes are cut (splices) using enzymes (usually) at specific places. Then a new section of DNA is replaced in the gap, creating DNA with a new section. This is the recombinant DNA. Splicing is the cutting, Recombinant DNA is the cut and stuck together DNA.

And no despite what google images says, you can't get a cow chicken, or a chipmunk spider. It doesn't work like that.
