If a computer were a cell what would be the nucleus

any help?-so you have another question...........
I'm doing a science project where we're supposed to make a 3d model of a cell, each part has to represent what that item does, so say if it were the mitochondria, i might say a battery, because it powers everything. I thought immediatly of a computer, but i'm stuck on the nucleus...any help?

so you have another question..... this is a neat project by the way, i like the idea.

what everyone else said about the CPU is a good answer in my opinion as well

But in a way the nucleus is both CPU and the hard drive.

Since the nucleus contains the DNA/ instructions (which is equivalent to the files and information on the hard drive)

The CPU and nucleus are similar structure, the essential parts are covered up (the CPU has heat-sinks on the processor and the Nucleus has the nuclear envelope which cover the nucleoli - which is where the DNA is)

but i would go with both really, the nucleus is a CPU and hard drive, living things are just that efficient!

Nucleus: Processor (brain of the computer)
Vacuole: The hard drive (it keeps certain things proteins/data inside)
Mitochondria: Wires that connect inside (if I remember correctly they are like messengers in a cell)
Cell Wall: Computer case (like a barrier)

I know you only asked for the nucleus, but these are other possibilities that I think would work.

The CPU is the central processing unit of the computer. It is there that all the calculations and comparison processes of the computer occur. So I would say the CPU.
