Hi :)

Suppose a calorimeter used for heat-conducting purposes had been made out of heat-conducting amterial like metal instead of styrofoam, Would a measured temperature change from the metal be larger or smaller than that of the styrofoam. Why?

alrighty

if the calorimeter is made of metal, then the temperature change will be larger, because the metal conducts heat and will absorb the heat from the water that is heated from the hot unknown metal, which in turn will lose heat to the surrounding; if the calorimeter is styrofoam, then the unknown metal's heat will not be lost because styrofoam is an insulator
