Easy- Where does the current flows to

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 12-04-19] [Hit: ]
apparently so, then flowing through the magnet to the other side of the battery. But this is a youtube video, and that site is full of fakes.......
Here's the thing moving: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zOdboRYf1…

Is the current flowing downwards in both wires?

-
Yes! Its a simple motor. The secret is the really strong "rare earth" magnet that the battery is sitting on.

-
Current will flow from positive terminal to the negative by convention, (but electrons actually move from negative to positive). So the current is flowing downward, the spin of the copper wire is due to the interaction of the magnetic field generated by the magnet and the magnetic field induced by the current carrying wire, the interactions of the 2 fields generates a force that spins the wire.
