Find the 1000th term in the sequence 4, 7, 10, 13.........

The number 2002 is what term in the following sequence?
6,10,14,18............................…

So you will need the forumal 3n+1 and you are trying to find the 1000 term.
3*1000 = 3000
3000+1 =3001
Answer: 3001
For the 2002 term your answer will be :

4n+6 = 2002
n = 499
+1
= 500
will be in the 500th term.

So first find the rule so the first one is 3n+1
Then to find the 1000th term substitute the n for the number 1000. So (3x1000)+1
=3000+1 =3001
