The Somerset levels are very flat and cover quite a large area.
Rising out this flat land is one conical hill - Glastonbury Tor.
As the name suggests it is just outside Glastonbury.
The tor can be seen from many miles away and, if you know where to look, can be seen from the M5 motorway way in the distance on a clear day.
It is possible to walk up to the top of the tor where there is the remains of a building.
Obviously from the top you have a very good view. Having been there I can vouch for that.
