in cigarettes cause lung tissue to become more cancerous. This happens because cells normally kill themselves if they find out that theres something wrong with them: these chemicals shut down that mechanism (I dont know the mechanism, though).Smoking is a pain to quit but it can be done.People smoke to calm themselves down and make their days better. How this works is that cigarettes make you more stressed out in the first place and the cigarettes make you feel better than normal.......
what will happen to me when I quit smoking.

Your teeth will get whiter because the tar will no longer discolor it. Your skin got wrinkled because (1) tobacco causes the blood vessels to shrink and deprive your skin of blood and (2) it seems to prevent vitamin C from making collagen, so smoking is like mini-scurvy. I don't think this is reversible at this point (it seems like a solvable problem, though, so it may be fixed in 20 years or so).

The more depressing part of smoking is the stuff that goes on inside without you knowing. Cigarettes cause your immune system to attack your lungs, making it harder to breathe (eventually causing emphysema). Tar, nicotine, nitrosamine, etc. in cigarettes cause lung tissue to become more cancerous. This happens because cells normally kill themselves if they find out that there's something wrong with them: these chemicals shut down that mechanism (I don't know the mechanism, though).

Smoking is a pain to quit but it can be done. People smoke to calm themselves down and make their days better. How this works is that cigarettes make you more stressed out in the first place and the cigarettes make you feel better than normal. Eventually your body compensates (creates more nicotine receptors, etc) and you'll be in a hyper-anxiety state. From here you'll be an a constantly panicked state and smoking only brings you back to normal.

If you decide to quit, go to a doctor and get some anti-depressants to tamp down the cigarette-induced anxiety. Then it'll be easier to quit. Cigarettes are truly a terrible drug: it makes you feel great right now but at the expense of ruining your body without you knowing it.

The most important thing to know is that you'll feel normal after a couple of weeks when the withdrawal wears; at that point you'll just have to retrain yourself to find other ways to calm yourself. I suggest working out as a long-term solution and lots of candy when a craving hits you hard. Don't be ashamed about the candy: it's just a stepping-stone.

Depends on how much you smoke. Some people find it easier to quit than others. I don't think you will get any physical replenishment. The only way to do so is by getting fit like everyone else and do sports and stuff to make you look good. You will get withdrawal symptoms which is alot of discomfort. My friend couldn't smoke for 2 weeks because we went to a huge camp and there were no cigarrets. you become grumpy and don't want to do anything. Loads of cravings and hard to breath sometimes. You will feel sick and constant fatique. By the way I don't smoke and I aint a doctor lol, no PhD
