What is the probability of the following

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-05-22] [Hit: ]
0.05*0.10 =0.B. 1 - 0.005=0.......
Computer A has a 95% chance of working. Computer B has a 90% of working. What is the probability
A) that one of them will work?
B)at least 1 will work?
C)none will work?

The answers are
A) .14
B).995
C).005

How do you get the answer?

-
i'll do them in reverse order for convenience in explaining

C. 0.05*0.10 =0.005 <---------

B. 1 - 0.005=0.995 <----------

A. A works, B doesn't or vice-versa: 0.95*0.10 + 0.05*0.9 = 0.14 <-------

I do not know exactly what you mean with the answer choices A, B, and C. Are you supposed to match them- this is what I got for matching...
A) one of them will work- i got answer choice B because look at both computers.... there is a big change that one will work- 95% or 90% for 1- so put both together.
b) At least one will work- i got answer choice A because there is a high chance that one will work so now take the change of 1 working and think "most likely this will work"
C) i got c because there is a VERY high chance that one will work so think about the chance NOT working.....
( i don't really know if these answers are 100% correct, but you can use your common sense to figure it out.)
---------- remember .14=14%..... .995=95.5%..... .005=.5%
