Why doesn't a UV sensitive bead change colors when sunscreen is applied

you wear sunscreen so you dont get burned. What makes you burn? UV rays. The UV rays are, of coarse, produced by the sun (hence SUNscreen).......
I need to know and i can't find it on the web!!!!

Think about it like this, you wear sunscreen so you don't get burned. What makes you burn? UV rays. The UV rays are, of coarse, produced by the sun (hence SUNscreen). So if the sunscreen can protect you from the rays, it should do the same thing with the bead.

Another way to think of it is that the sunscreen provides a sort of protective barrier around the bead so the UV rays can't get to it.

The sun screen's job is to protect your skin from UV rays, which is what gives our skin a tan or burn.
The bead glows because of UV rays, so you're blocking what make it glow.
