Subtracting and adding integers

show as much work as you can

1) 60-(-9)+6-(-12)
2) (-8) - 87+ (-50)-(-49)+56
3) (-6) +(-3)+ (9) + (-4)
4) 34-(-20)-(-7)+3-(-6)
5)45-82-(-37
6)(-27)- 26 + 6 -(-8)+(-1

a number minus a negative becomes addition eg 1-(-2) = 1+2=3
a number plus a negative becomes subtraction eg 1+(-2) = 1-2= -1
so:
1) 60-(-9)+6-(-12)
becomes 60+9+6+12 which = 87
2) -8-87+(-50)-(-49)+56
becomes -8-87-50+49+56 which = -40
3) -6+(-3)+9+(-4)
becomes -6-3+9-4 which = -4
4) 34-(-20)-(-7)+3-(-6)
becomes 34+20+7+3+6 which = 70
5) 45-82-(-37)
becomes 45-82+37 which = 0
6) -27-26+6-(-8)+(-1)
becomes -27-26+6+8-1 which = -40

Don't be lazy - it's faster doing them than typing into the computer and waiting for someone to do the work for you.

60+9+6+12=87

-8-87-50+49+56
-145+105= -40

-6-3+9-4=-4

34+20+7+3+6 =70

45-82+37=0

-27-26+6+8-1= -40
