- Was it hard for you?
- What topics does it cover. (Specifically, not just chapters 1 - 12 haha. :) )
Im in 8th grade and i have the EOC on wednesday so im kinda nervous, but i just need those couple questions answered to help me. :) hhaaa.

I speak entirely from personal experience, just so you know.
The Algebra 1 EOC is a standardized test given to lots of different students. Each school usually has their own individual test; however, in some school districts, same schools might take the same test. However, the bottom line is that the test is standardized. This means that it is designed to be slightly easier than what you would expect in class, because it is designed to give those students who are not strong in math a chance to score rather high.
You said you are in 8th grade, so I assume that you are smart and are taking Algebra 1 in an honors/gifted/talented class (I'm in Gifted/Talented Math and took it in 8th grade.) However, it is still math, so plan accordingly based on your strength in math. If you are strong in math, I think you will find it overall easy, but some questions might make you think. If you are not so strong in math, expect to still do well (or at least OK) but there might be a couple of challenges for you.
Now, I'll answer your basic questions that you asked.
"Is it multiple choice?"
The test I took had 2 multiple choice sections, about 25-30 questions each, and 1 short-response section with 3 questions, and each question had 3 parts.
"Was it hard for you?"
I have always been very, very strong in math and have done well at a lot of math competitions. I personally did not find the test to be hard. I actually made a perfect score, and was the only one out of 300+ students to do so (although a LOT scored in the 90%+ range.)
"What topics does it cover?"
My test covered basic equations (40+4x=44, solve for x), writing linear equations, graphing linear equations (you picked the graph out of multiple choice), linear systems, simplifying radicals, slope, and adding/subtracting some small polynomials. I did not see a single factoring question on my test, and all that time I spent studying completing the square, rational functions, and sin/cos/tan was not on there.
