Need help with these algebra questions

4c - 3(5c - 2x + 2)

and

4c - 3(5c - 2x +2)

I'm supposed to simplify them. Please explain how you got the answers?

distribute the 3 to each term in parentheses 3*5c+3*2x+3*2
combine like-terms

4c - 3(5c - 2x + 2)
Expand the brackets, bearing in mind it is -3 x contents of brackets:
4c - 15c + 6x - 6
Collect like terms:
-11c + 6x - 6

first expand your brackets so...

4c - 15c + 6x - 6 (bearing in mind 2 -'s = +'ve etc.)

then simplify...

-11c + 6x - 6

and there's your answer :)
