Pre-Calculus Question

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-09-27] [Hit: ]
-You just take q(1.so you plug 1.q(1.5)= 5(1.q(1.5)=7.......
Evaluate teh function at the specified value of the independent variable and simplify.
q(p)=5p+1 q(1.5)

Please answer it and explain how to do it, i'm having alot of troubles in Pre-calc..

-
You just take q(1.5) and plug it into q(p)

so you plug 1.5 for all the "p" variables

q(1.5)= 5(1.5) + 1

q(1.5)=7.5+1

q(1.5)=8.5

-
q(p)=5p+1 when p=1.5
q(1.5)=5*1.5+1
q(1.5) = 7.5+1 = 8.5
