Same with numbers like 3.6. There odd but the decimals even.

No. The (simple) definition of an even number is that if you divide by 2 you get an integer (or a number that does not have a decimal or fraction).

for example 2: 2/2 = 1, which is an integer because it does not have a decimal value

another example is 9: 9/2 = 4.5, which is not an integer

0/2 = 0 which is an integer

3.6/2 = 1.8, which is not an integer

Decimal numbers are decimal numbers.
