then 150 × 1/4 = 37.5 out of 150
and 150 × 3/4 = 112.5
(or 150 – 37.5 = 112.5)

Let parts be x and 3x
then 4x = 150
x = 150/4 = 37.5
and 3x = 37.5 × 3 = 112.5
