Interval: (0, 2π)
a) Find the open intervals on which the function is increasing or decreasing b) apply the 1st derivative test to identify relative extrema

1) f(x) = sixcosx + 5
2) f(x) = (√3)sinx+cosx

Please help... :(

1) f(x) = 6cosx + 5
f'(x) = -6sinx = 0 for extrema
x = 0, pi and 2pi
decreasing (0,pi)
increasing (pi,2pi)
