Can someone help me solve for x? Algebra

-1/8x = -9/10

-1/8x=-9/10

x= 9/10* 8/1

x= 36/5 answer :)

Divide both sides by -1/8 (so flip the fraction and multiply)

x = (-9/10)(8/-1)
x = (-9*8 / 10*-1) . . . (multiply the tops & multiply the bottoms)
x = -72 / -10
x = 72/10 = 7.2 . . . . (the negative signs canceled out)
