Formula to find the slope of the line between two points is m = y2 - y1 /x2 - x1
= -5 - 2 / 5 -(-4)
= -7/5+4
= -7/9 is the answer.

2. Calculate the slope of the line between the points (- 1, 6) and (4, - 5).
Formula to find the slope of the line between two points is m = y2 - y1 /x2 - x1
= -5 - 6/ 4-(-1)
= -11/4+1
