Trigonometry questions

1. (6 tan 45) - (8 cos 60)
I keep getting -1, but the answer's supposed to be 2.

2. sec (pi/4) + 2 csc (pi/3)
i keep getting (4 sqrt 6)/3 but the answer's supposed to be sqrt 2 + (4 sqrt 3)/3

any help appreciated(: please show/explain all steps!

tan 45= 1
6x1 - 8x.5
cos 60= .5

6-4=2
