Hell, use Excel to track them for even more ease.I think you will find last names longer, personally.........
How do you think I could create a scatter plot comparing first name length and last name length?
Is there already a mathematical method for doing this? If so can you explain?

-
You can find a bunch of names of varying lengths and put the first name lengths as the horizontal axis and the last name as the vertical axis. Then plot the points that way. For example: Tom James would be the point (3,5)

-
I'm sure there is some way you can program Microsoft Excel to do something like that, and then once the data is in, then you can just create a scatter plot straight from the excel data on the computer.

I charge a penny for my thoughts... *extends hand*

Collect a bunch of names from around (?)school(?) and then plot them. Hell, use Excel to track them for even more ease. I think you will find last names longer, personally.

This is very interestin' :-)

Tung ----------------------- 4 characters (4 letters)
Phuong ------------------- 6 characters (6 letters)

Stephen ------------------ 7 chars
Unknown ----------------- 7 chars
...

First name | Last name
---------------------------------
4 -------------- 6
7 -------------- 7
....
--------------------------------------…

Hope this helps!

-
The first thing you would need to do is to get all the first and last names in the world. That is impossible as people create names for people constantly.

-
just plot the values of "first name"/"last name" or another options is to plot the absolute value of (firstname-lastname).

-
Is it randomly put not maths.

-
Idk. I don't do or care about all that math crap.
