Find the y-intercept of 4x = 3y + 2

I hope this information was very helpful.-x=0 ,......
I'm getting really confused with my math homework so step by step instructions would be greatly appreciated! Thankyou!! (:

-
add 3y to both sides and subtract 4x from both sides and get 3y=-4x+2, then devide by 3 and get
y=-4/3x+2/3, which is slope-intercept form, or y=mx+b, where b is the y-intercept, so the y intercept is 2/3

-
Rearrange the terms to get -3y = -4x+2, multiply both sides by negative 1 (-1) to get
3y=4x-2 then divide by 3 to get y=(4/3)x-(2/3)

at y-intercept x = 0 so (4/3)x =0 and y=-(2/3)

-
Rearrage to get y in terms of x. (Get y on one side on its own).
So: 4x = -3y + 2
4x - 2 = -3y
-(4x - 2)/3 = y

So the y-intercept is when x = 0, so sub that into the equation:
when x=0, y=2/3
So the y-intercept is y=2/3

-
4x + 3y = 2
3y = -4x + 2
y = -4/3 x + 2/3

The y-intercept is 2/3.

I hope this information was very helpful.

-
x=0 , y = -2/3
