If you shine a flashlight on the CD and DVD, what will be different about the color spectra

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-05-11] [Hit: ]
The DVD color spectrum will be brighter. The CD color spectrum will be in reverse order from the DVDs spectrum. The CD color spectrum will be half as wide as the DVDs spectrum. The CD color spectrum will be twice as wide as the DVDs spectrum.-Hmmm. Try it and see.......
I can't seem to understand this...can anyone help? These are the choices.

The DVD color spectrum will be brighter.
The CD color spectrum will be in reverse order from the DVD's spectrum.
The CD color spectrum will be half as wide as the DVD's spectrum.

Hmmm. Try it and see.
Patterns on a CD can act as a diffraction grating. I presume that the pitch on a DVD is smaller than a CD which would make the diffraction angle greater.
