relative to its firing point?Thanks for the help. Please provide equations used if you can. Thanks again.y(t)=v0 sin(theta) t - 1/2 gt^2 = 310 sin 47*35s - 1/2*9.8m/s/s*(35s)^2 =1932.......
Here is the problem:

To start an avalanche on a mountain slope, an artillery shell is fired with an initial velocity of 310 m/s at 47.0° above the horizontal. It explodes on the mountainside 35.0 s after firing. What are the x and y coordinates of the shell where it explodes, relative to its firing point?

x = __________________m
y = __________________m

Thanks for the help. Please provide equations used if you can. Thanks again.

write the equations of motion:

x(t)= v0 cos(theta) t = 310 cos 47 * 35s = 7400m

y(t)=v0 sin(theta) t - 1/2 gt^2 = 310 sin 47*35s - 1/2*9.8m/s/s*(35s)^2 =1932.7m

these are the x and y coordinates of impact
