Why is the weather system above Michigan going the other direction

Since winds travel counter-clockwise around a low, Michigan would be in Easterly flow. This is very unusual, but not unheard of.......
Why is the system of rain, clouds, and thunderstorms at and around Michigan traveling from east to west instead of the normal west to east?

There is a large cut off upper-level low sitting right now over the central Appalachian Mountains. (Over West Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina region). Since winds travel counter-clockwise around a low, Michigan would be in Easterly flow. This is very unusual, but not unheard of.
