Think about it if one day was 1000 years Adam would have only lived a few days on the earth-if you are referring to Noah; God had it rain for forty human years. But Gods day is closer to 100,000 yrs.-Since when is a day 1,000 years,?......

In the bible when God says day I believe it was a literal day(24 hours), 40 days of rain then the fountains of the deep "water table" exploded and cause more havoc. Think about it if one day was 1000 years Adam would have only lived a few days on the earth
