Look up the twin paradox. There was a theory that you could construct a giant cylinder in space, and spin in near the speed of light in the opposite direction of the universe, and you could ride around it, (like a black hole but not dying), and essentially go back in time.......
i have searched everywhere and have not found abything. please help!

i dont know about him, but i know some reasons why people say so. Going forward is possible in the sense that traveling near the speed of light time would slow down for you but go normal for everyone else. Look up the twin paradox. There was a theory that you could construct a giant cylinder in space, and spin in near the speed of light in the opposite direction of the universe, and you could ride around it, (like a black hole but not dying), and essentially go back in time. But then it was discovered that you would need to make the cylinder basically infinitely big, which cant really be done. So going back cant really work, maybe if worm holes are real you can go into one and move through space time, which is different that space, and wind up in a different place and time. So, not alot of help for the exact question, but i hope it helps anyway
