Is space exploration no longer possible

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 12-07-07] [Hit: ]
This means there is little return and high risk to investors. Solve the economic problems and youll have your manned missions. As to the machines, if you wait long enough, there will be enough compute power to emulate a human brain neuron by neuron in real time on a small computer such as a laptop. This is expected to occur by 2045- 2050.......
Will space missions involving astronauts still take place or are we down to machines only now?

The ultimate goal of space exploration is space colonization. However it will take some revolutions in economics to warrant this.

So far the only sources of revenue are the single customer cargo and crew transfer contracts, satellite launches, and space tourism. The only other business plan on the books is asteroid mining. Space based power stations are actually a wash out cause analysis based upon a zero cost to launch, 100% solar panels, no cost for reception and high world energy prices still resulted in an economic loss. This means there is little return and high risk to investors. Solve the economic problems and you'll have your manned missions.

In 2025, NASA wants to bring astronauts to the moon. One of the reasons is because they want to mine for a isotope of helium called helium-3. It will make nuclear fusion possible on the surface of the earth. Im pretty sure in 2035, they want to send a manned mission to mars. In the near future, they are going to send astronauts to the asteroid belt to mine for metals. Apparently, in the asteroid there going to, there is more iron in its core then the amount the human race has ever used in all of our buildings and skyscrapers combined. Hoped this answered your question.

Currently, we are left to machines, BUT as beings of consciousness, we will eventually be able to embark back into space. Consciousness is the greatest creation of the universe.
We can understand how the universe began and coalesced, but we can not even begin to understand how the human brain begins to work.
with all of this potential, it would be silly to believe that we are stuck on this earth to burn out into eternity.

Yes, space exploration is still happening and we will return to the Moon, but we need to get the paranoid of NASA Tea party freshman OUT OF CONGRESS IN NOVEMBER.

-
Yes. I think we still use astronauts. Space probes are faster, in my opinion but astronauts are more efficient and accurate.
