0%(w/v) starch solution, how would you calculate how many grams of starch you have?3.3.grams of starch = (3.0 / (1/3)) = 9.......
If you have 300. mL of 3.0% (w/v) starch solution, how would you calculate how many grams of starch you have?

-
% (w/v) = (grams of solute / mL of solution) x 100
% starch = (grams of starch / mL of solution) x 100
3.0 = (grams of starch / 300) x 100
3.0 = grams of starch x 100 / 300
grams of starch = (3.0 / (1/3)) = 9.0 g
