Since the pH is 0.726 then 10^-.726 = 0.Ka = (0.1879)^2/ 0.Ka = 8.......
step by step would be helpful!

The pH of a 0.400 M solution of iodic acid, HIO3, is 0.726 at 25 C. What is the Ka at this temperature?

-
HIO3 ---------------> H+ + IO3-

0.400 pH = 0.726

Since the pH is 0.726 then 10^-.726 = 0.1879 mol/L This is also tru for the Conc of the IO3- ion

Ka = (0.1879)^2/ 0.400

Ka = 8.83 x 10^-2
