can someone explain this to me i don't understand standard form

It it's a positive 'to the power of' you move the decimal place forward, it it's negative, you move it back.

i) = 1.567 X 10(to the power of eight) -i don't know the keyboard shortcut for powers.
ii)= 3.41 X 10(to the power of minus four)
