How do I solve these

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 12-01-27] [Hit: ]
x = -3-A) 5-3x/2=4..........
Can someone help me solve these I don't need the answer just the method
A)5- 3x/2=4
B)-3(4+x)/2=-9
C)4(1-3x)/5=8

I might need some more help later with new equations

-
A) 5 - 3x/2 = 4.

Multiply both sides by 2, giving
10 - 3x = 8.
Add 3x to both sides, giving
10 = 3x + 8.
Subtract 8 from both sides, giving
3x = 2.
Divide both sides by 3, giving
x = 2/3.

B) -3(4+x)/2 = -9.

Multiply both sides by 2, giving
-3(4+x) = -18.
Divide both sides by -3, giving
4 + x = 6.
Subtract 4 from both sides, giving
x = 2.

C) 4(1-3x)/5 = 8.

Multiply both sides by 5, giving
4(1-3x) = 40.
Divide both sides by 4, giving
1 - 3x = 10.
Subtract 1 from both sides, giving
-3x = 9.
Divide both sides by -3, giving
x = -3.
