You are a Brigadier General in the US Army. a one star General, in charge of a Brigade with approximately 3,000-5,000 men, in the early 1940s, a few years after Japan formally invaded China, just over a decade after Japan invaded the Dong Bei area of China. Your brigade was part of the Division stationed in China. You have new orders, your brigade is now being stationed in Korea. You would like to station your 6 battalions about Korea to 6 predefined sectors.

Here's the question: How many ways could you station your brigade about 3 sectors of Korea?

If I understand the question correctly, it just wants to to find out in how many ways you can take 3 from 6, so that's combinations.
Formula for combinations is n!/(r!(n-r)!), where n is the number you're choosing from and r is the number you're required to take, So in this case, n=6 and r=3

Alternatively, you can use your calculator to solve this, find the nCr button, and press 6 nCr 3 to get the answer, which is 20
