Given that the conversion equation for celsius to fahrenheit is F=(9/5)(c)+32, what is the Deep Freezers Temperture in degrees Fahrenheit? Express you answer as a decimal to the nearest tenth.-Youve got the formula and the known (degree celsius), it cant be that difficult to drop it (the known) into the equation and do the arithmetic, can it?......
40 scientistist took a 6 week expedition abored a ship called the Healy to conduct their experiments, the scientist need specialized labs. One of the labs abored the Healy is the "Deep Freezer." The tempture in the "Deep Freezer" is -81 degree celsius! Given that the conversion equation for celsius to fahrenheit is F=(9/5)(c)+32, what is the Deep Freezer's Temperture in degrees Fahrenheit? Express you answer as a decimal to the nearest tenth.

You've got the formula and the known (degree celsius), it can't be that difficult to drop it (the known) into the equation and do the arithmetic, can it?

F=(9/5)(-81)+32
=((9*(-81)/5)+32
=-145.8+32
=-113.8 degrees Fahrenheit

-
F=9/5c + 32
=9/5*-81 + 32
=(9*-81/5 + 32
=-729/5 + 32
Taking LCM
=(-729 + 160)/5
=-569/5
=-113.8°F

-
-113.8 Fahrenheit
