If i have never taken xanax before and i take 0.5 mgs and have an allergic reaction and dont call my doctor can i die?

Yes. You can die. You might also get run over by a bus. Or have a pumpkin fall from the sky and kill you. And those are likely to happen before you die from an xanax allergy. So quit worrying about it.

Your chances of having an allergic reaction to Xanax is so low that it can be disregarded. Nobody is allergic to Xanax. But if you WERE the 1 in 25 million that WERE allergic, then you would need to have someone take you to the nearest ER for treatment. Don't waste time calling your doctor. You would be dead by the time he returned your phone call. In ANY allergic reaction, the clock is ticking, and the ER is your ONLY friend.

I would imagine anyone can die from any allergy ...don't know what your situation is but if you think you are having an allergic reaction, go to the emergency room or your doctors office right away, just to be on the safe side. Call the police if you can't get there and think you are allergic..They can get you somewhere in a hurry........no point in taking chances with your life.
