Because they're separate but identical. There's no connection between the two; so there's no reason you would be able to transfer your conscience.

That would violate all of the laws of physics. There can't be an exact same copy of ANY ONE, except a cloned animal. Not even identical twins and triplets are exact same copies once they are born and have different, individual experiences.
