other types of physicians don't necessarily specialize in body parts so to speak and include pediatricians, psychiatrists, etc.
You can probably google 'physician salaries' or "surgeon salaries" to find out exactly who earns what. My colleagues who are surgical specialists do very well. Neurosurgeons and thoracic surgeons I know earn in the very high 6 figures range.
