Pros - ICU experience means you can qualify for entrance into CRNA school and, hopefully, make the big bucks.
Cons - people die long, slow deaths in the ICU. Seeing that on a consistent basis is no fun.

It tends to be well staffed. There are a lot of nurses, high nurse to patient ratio, so you get to focus on the cases you have in front of you.
