I am going to the snow and it has not snowed there in ages the forecast saids rain the night where there but is that going to be snow or not?

Definitely. I have seen it numerous times here in Virginia. I have even seen a thunderstorm when there was snow on the ground. This is caused by the air temperature being above freezing while there is snow on the ground, and precipitation falling from the sky.

Of course it can rain in the snow. I might wash it away depending on how much snow there is and how much rain it gets.
