Why did life not Start on the moon

Atmosphere

A couple of reasons; it's not massive enough to maintain an atmosphere, and you'd *need* one for life to flourish. It also has no magnetic field - necessary to protect and maintain an atmosphere.

to start with :the moon is too small to have sufficient gravity.
It has no atmosphere, so there are no gases, which are needed for carbon based life forms to survive.
With no atmosphere, it cannot have clouds, or gases to trap the heat from the sun, which means it would get very cold at night.
ALSO half of the moon never sees sunlight. Making is unbelieveably cold there.

It has no atmosphere and this is because the gravity is not enough to keep it in place. It is thought that the moon was once part of the earth. It was knocked off the earth when a large meteorite struck it.

First thing you need for the existance of the life is water. There is no water at moon. Then you have no atmospere, magnetic field, ozone etc.

My theory, We would have to adapt to live on the moon as there is obviously no gravity or air. Think about it them astronauts don't where space suits for no reason.
