Why does Jupiter's red spot keep getting destroyed and getting made again

Jupiter is a gaseous planet. Everything we see there is cloud patterns in its atmosphere. The Great Red Spot is a cyclone, so it is in constant circular motion, and changes in colour over time.

It's not. Jupiters red spot is a huge hurricane, it's red from the materials in it. It is just a huge raging storm 5 times bigger than the earth. It's been going on for hundreds of years. It may settle down. But it never gets "destroyed".
