Thanks for any help!-soap is a basic product. a lowering of pH, increase in acidity, will prevent the micelle from becoming charged and acting in the manner expected.with extra H+ in solution,......
Looking at the simplified equilibrium shown here, describe why soap might not be as effective at a lower pH.

Uncharged Micelle <---> Negative Micelle + H+

soap is a basic product. a lowering of pH, increase in acidity, will prevent the micelle from becoming charged and acting in the manner expected.
with extra H+ in solution, the micelle will not lose its H+ and remain neutral
