Okay im not sure how to turn these questions into an equation, help anyone???

1: The difference when 7 less than a number is subtracted from twice the number is 12. What is 12?

2: Four less than three times a number is three more than two times the number. What is the number?

Difference means the answer to a subtraction problem
Less mean "--"
Is means "="

2x-x+7=12
x+7=12
x=5

3x-4=3+2x
3x=3+2x+4
3x=7+2x
3x-2x=7
x=7
