I recommend you that, When you study mainly physics, then you try to understand it first.
Don't try to memorize it first.
Second after understanding it , you try to find out a proper way to memorize it.

I think if you understand it one, then you can memorize it quickly.
without understand don't memorize. and start to find out the similarities of theory with present life.
