when you look at some of extraterrestrial beings in our movies they have a sort of mechanical nature wherein they only look to advance their race,obtain scientific breakthroughs and revolutionize technology,where as we are constantly trapped within a Whirlpool of our own emotions(love, hate, anger,resent,envy) leading to unnecessary wars and even more unnecessary endeavors(art, culture, fashion,socioeconomic scams,etc) if we know what it takes to be great why are we deliberatley holding back, we should change and start a intergalactic human empire.

Probably never! Probably never develop even interstellar travel. Distances between stars are great, distances between galaxies much greater. Theory of Relativity show spacecraft have strict speed limits. Inertial mass increase exponentially when travel more rapidly, become infinite at speed of light. Also length at direction of travel become zero. Some scientists say can never travel more of 10% velocity of light. Must take fuel and accelerate it and spacecraft, take time accelerate at rapid velocity, take time apply brakes decelerate when want stop too. Friend calculate we can never travel at nearest star less of 85 years, travel at nearest extra-solar planet less of 210 years, require 20,000,000 years travel nearest galaxy. Is impossible make such long trips. Please study science not fantasy.
