Why has man not been to the moon a second time

You think if we were able to make once long ago, why has it never been done again by the U.S. or China or Russia?

I don't typically like conspiracy theories but I often find things odd about the moon landing.

Actually, 6 pairs of astronauts from the United States have been to the Moon's surface and have returned to Earth.

I think if you think about how politicians choose how to spend money, you'll recognize that continuing the Apollo program could not have been politically expedient. (They get more votes with welfare and entitlements and stuff like that than they do sending men into space)

Man landed on the Moon 6 times. Apollo 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, and 17 between 1969 and 1972.
The program was canceled due to cost and because the primary mission, to beat the Soviets to the Moon was accomplished.

The reason no new missions have been attempted is that, unlike computer technology, rocket technology is not much better or cheaper than it was in 1972.

They have told the full truth. There is plenty of information out there that has been sent out in press releases, news letters, web pages, and so on, but I guess you haven't attended any of those press conferences, subscribed to those news letters, or read those web pages. They are not going to come to your house and make you listen to them. The source is one good one, but there are thousands or even millions of other sources. Sadly the popular media doesn't care enough to clue most people in and only a few fans like me bother seeking out the full information.

We tried to go back six times and really did go back five times. Apollo 13 had a serious oxygen problem, so it swung around the Moon, with no attempt to land, and made it back safely to Earth. You REALLY need to read about the history of the space race and the political history of the United States before claiming that the first moon landing was suspicious. Apollo missions 18, 19, and 20 were scheduled and funded by Congress when there three massive solar storms during 1972 and the beginning of 1973 that scared the higher ups at NASA, mainly because the Apollo 16 astronauts on the surface of the Moon left early because one of those coronal mass ejections. Neither President Nixon nor Congress canceled the last three Apollo missions. The money that would have gone to NASA went to the Defense Department instead, because it was fighting the hot flip side of the Cold War in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and Tibet in 1973.
