Why can you only see the stars some nights

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-10-22] [Hit: ]
If you get clouds in daytime that can cover the briliance of the sun, why would you think that clouds or mist would not cover the stars at night.(shakes head with wonder-It could be high clouds or haze, or if the Moon is up, the additional light of the moon will drown out many stars.-You are probably looking through some kind of mist or haze.......
Yesterday I could see tons of stars very clearly but now, it almost looks like some sort of fog is covering the sky. I can't see any stars at all. :/

That fog that's covering the sky is probably fog.

I might use your question in my list of the daftest astro questions I am compiling.

If you get clouds in daytime that can cover the briliance of the sun, why would you think that clouds or mist would not cover the stars at night.
