hi i live in california and i LOVE the moon at night! ummm i cant see it anymore! it has been 5 nights without thhe moon! anyone in california know if it is north east south or west?

You're not staying up late enough to see it rise. The Moon doesn't rise in California until 4:40 a.m. tonight. The best time to see it is around sunrise.

The moon is not in the sky at the same time each night - the moon moves around the Earth and so it rises about 50 minutes later each night than the night before.
Full moon was on Sept 12 - it rose in the east at sunset. Each night since it has risen almost an hour later than the night before.
The moon will be new on Sept 27, so right now the moon is rising about 3 hours before sunrise.
So its rising in the east around 4 in the morning or so.
If you love the moon, learning about the phases would make it even more fun.
